We don’t get to say this very often, but US lawmakers did something good for once, voting against amendments that would slash funding for arts and culture. We’ve got the numbers in today’s report.

In other good news, the Met Museum in New York reports an impressive rebound from the pandemic-era dip in admission, also registering record attendance by local people of color.

Meanwhile, thousands of protesters descend on Washington, DC, to protest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to a joint session of Congress. We rounded up some of the demonstrators’ most poignant and creative protest art.

There’s more, including Esther Pressoir, Erika Harrsch, and a peek into the upcoming BlackStar Film Festival in Philadelphia.
