With players choosing to commit earlier in the process, schools can no longer afford to bring them in only on official visits, leading to the rise of unofficial visits.

The Michigan women's basketball team earned their 20th season victory over Purdue Wednesday with a 72-62 win. Wednesday night, speakers discussed their unique visions for societal change and growth as a part of the annual student-run TEDxUofM event. A reflection on the changing recruiting process for the Michigan hockey team. The University community reacts to the racist emails sent out Tuesday night and the University's response. Finally, Gov. Rick Snyder announced in his proposed budget for the 2018 fiscal year that he plans to increase funding for higher education institutions and water quality projects.

Despite a slow start to the contest, Michigan eked out a 72-62 win over the Boilermakers.
Wednesday night at the Power Center, eight diverse speakers â including University of Michigan professors and international artists â discussed their unique visions for societal change and growth as a part of the annual student-run TEDxUofM event.
When news of the three racist emails from Tuesday night reached most of campus Wednesday morning, students, faculty and organizations immediately denounced the messages. Many, however, also criticized the University of Michiganâs response, which was similar to its responses to past racially charged acts on campus.
Gov. Rick Snyder announced Feb. 8 in his proposed budget for the 2018 fiscal year that he plans to increase funding for higher education institutions and water quality projects.
