Today, we evaluate the first half of the Michigan men's basketball's Big Ten season. Journalists involved in the Tampa Bay Times' “Failure Factories,” a five-part investigation of the effects on both students and the community, visited the University as part of the Livingston Lectures. Yesterday, "Signing of the Stars" featured Michigan coaches, players, and alumni, in contrast to last year's celebrity-laden showcase. The Michigan Department of Treasury announced a new partnership Wednesday afternoon with Inceptia to provide free individual tutoring for Michigan residents who are overdue on their federal student loans. Finally, Long Beach rapper Vince Staples confirmed his project set for Friday will be a single.

State Treasury Department to help Michigan residents with overdue loans

The Michigan Department of Treasury announced a new partnership Wednesday afternoon with Inceptia, a division of the National Student Loan Program, to provide free individual tutoring for Michigan residents who are overdue on their federal student loans.  

Michigan hosts second annual “Signing of the Stars” event

Last year's "Signing of the Stars" was a celebrity-laden showcase, but this year, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh centered the event around family.
