Dear subscribers,

Today, we have coverage on students' attempt to rename the C.C. Little Science Building Sunday night. We also take a look ahead at the Michigan football team's Saturday game against Michigan State, with a reflection from sophomore cornerback Lavert Hill on what the game means to him, and a look at John O'Korn, who will be the starting quarterback on Saturday after Wilton Speight sustained an injury against Purdue. We also have a review on two new releases, Miley Cyrus' "Younger Now" and Four Tet's "New Energy." Finally, we take a look at the Manhattan Short Film Festival.

All the best,
The Michigan Daily

‘Younger Now’ and ‘New Energy’

Four Tet’s newest album, New Energy, is a not nearly the whiplash of Miley Cyrus’s genre switch, but it does include some boundary pushing beyond his discography, as Kieran Hebden is want to do.

Michigan State rivalry 'personal' for cornerback Lavert Hill

Lavert Hill, now a starting defensive back for the seventh-ranked Wolverines, will finally have the opportunity to make his mark on the Michigan-Michigan State rivalry.

With Speight injured, O'Korn steps in as starting quarterback

After transferring and patiently sitting out a year, after losing the starting competition twice, John O’Korn is now the starting quarterback for No. 7 Michigan as it heads into the biggest matchup of the season thus far, a night game at home against in-state rival Michigan State.

Another great year for the Manhattan Short Film Festival

The festival was a fun and entertaining showcase of diverse international talent.
