By Drew Broach | Deputy metro editor OUTLIER: As coronavirus cases continue to climb, many U.S. hospitals are adopting policies that require employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Louisiana hospitals are not - even as infection cases have surged faster than any other state in the past two weeks - and some refuse to provide any information that might inform a patient’s risk level. In Louisiana nursing homes, meanwhile, coronavirus cases jumped more than fourfold last week, mirroring a broader community surge of the highly transmissible delta variant and once again raising worries about low vaccination rates among nursing home staffers. PUZZLE PIECES: Now that the New Orleans Pelicans have a new head coach, attention turns to shaping the roster. In the NBA draft on Thursday, here are five players the Pels might target.
