Bundesliga Edition 14.10.2016

Dear Eagles around the globe,

more than one month has passed since we sent you the last edition of our little newsletter.

Meanwhile, the first six matchdays of the Bundesliga campaign 2016/17 have passed. We can say without exaggerating that things look quite good so far. Eintracht are currently ranked 8th in the standings. After a last minute defeat against fellow Hessian club Darmstadt 98, the Eagles won against both Bayer Leverkusen and FC Ingolstadt. Subsequently, they drew against Hertha BSC. Unfortunately, on the last matchday, SGE had to admit defeat against SC Freiburg.

But this loss does not dampen our mood. Rather, we look forward to an exciting clash: On Saturday, 15 October 2016 (kick-off at 15.30 CET), Eintracht face the German champions, FC Bayern München, in Frankfurt's Commerzbank Arena.

In our newsletter, we take a look ahead at this enticing match. Also, we look back at the international caps break and inform you where you can get Eintracht's new app, the so-called Adler App. The app can be used in both the German and the English language.

As always, keep on following Frankfurt – over land and sea!

Sincerely yours,

The English Eintracht Internet Team

Niko Kovac - Fair Play

Eintracht manager Niko Kovac was awarded with a fair play medal by the German football association DFB (Deutscher Fußball Bund) this week. After the successful return leg of the relegation play-offs against 1. FC Nürnberg last season he first comforted the disappointed "Club" players on the pitch and tried to cheer them up to then go and celebrate with his own team. A very human and honourable gesture which led the DFB jury to decide on Kovac for the award.
