Rapid intensification: Saturday marked the first day of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, and thanks to technological advances being tested this year, scientists could be able to more accurately predict whether an incoming tropical storm will quickly gain enough strength to become a major hurricane. Cantore on the coast: When you live in a state like Louisiana, you know it's never a good sign when Jim Cantore shows up in your town. But this weekend, the famous Weather Channel meteorologist was on the Mississippi Coast hanging out with a famous storm chaser, rather than chasing a storm himself. Justin Mitchell has the story.
