Experts say now is the time to reimagine aspects of faculty work and faculty life. This requires colleges to take on fundamental questions about faculty members: In what conditions are they expected to do their work, and how much do those conditions differ between faculty tiers? How are they evaluated, and is the process equitable? What support is being offered to instructors, and is it enough? What future model of the faculty would best serve those instructors, and the institution, and how can we get there?
