A Message From the Editor

Good morning. DLA Piper has ended its exclusive tie-up with Brazilian firm Camps Mello as the global firm builds out its own office in São Paulo. Fieldfisher, which has been expanding in Europe, is launching an office in Portugal after combining with a 68-person local firm. And Hong Kong capital markets lawyers are benefiting as the Hong Kong Stock Exchange sees a needed resurgence amid a slew of small to mid-cap IPOs. And please read Paul Hodkinson's "Letter from London," which looks at Slaughter and May and Ashurst, and how the two storied firms have struggled with changes in today's legal market.
