The circus was a very different beast back in 1976 as shown in this historical front page article. The Swiss Circus Royale was to return to Southwell Park on the Barton Highway at Lyneham. The circus, led by Frank Gasser, featured the usual performers such as trapeze artists, clowns, ponies and jugglers, however there were also a few special guests including camels, lions, elephants and bears.  READ MORE
