🌅 Good morning!

Today is Record Store Day — a gathering of independent record store owners and employees to celebrate the culture around record stores.

Many artists release unique or limited edition vinyls or CDs for the occasion. Personally, I'll be in line at my favorite record shop in Provo starting around 7 a.m. hoping to get my hands on a limited edition vinyl set from Taylor Swift.

I started collecting vinyls about two years ago, and I love hearing an album on a record player. It just sounds better.

Tell me: What is the best record of all-time in your opinion?

Ballerina Farm expands with its first brick-and-mortar stand

Kamas is the new home to a brick-and-mortar stand for global influencers for the Ballerina Farm.

Ballerina Farm, a Utah business founded and owned by Hannah and Daniel Neeleman, has achieved worldwide fame from the content its creators share with their 10 million Instagram followers, Ariel Harmer reported.

Hannah’s from-scratch cooking, her background as a Juilliard-trained ballerina, her love for raising her eight children and the family’s idyllic rural lifestyle have attracted considerable attention.

The Ballerina Farm Stand stocks the following, despite its small size:

  • Their signature protein powder
  • Organic flour
  • Sourdough starter kits
  • Frozen baked goods
  • Frozen meat

Ballerina Farm also announced a flagship market that will be coming soon to Midway.

See the goals the First Presidency set for BYU’s new School of Medicine

The chief goal for the medical school is to support the mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and BYU, Dr. Mark Ott said during a presentation Monday at the annual International Society conference at the Hinckley Center on campus, Tad Walch reported.

Dr. Ott said that when he and his wife, Stefanie, met with the church’s First Presidency, there was a moment when President Russell M. Nelson looked off in the distance, Walch writes.

“In the coming decades,” President Nelson said, “the power of this school of medicine to take forward the mission and the work of the Church of Jesus Christ — of the Lord — is going to be far beyond anything that we can see here now.”

“It was wonderful to be sitting in his presence and hearing a prophecy,” Dr. Ott said, "and knowing that the prophet of the Lord could see something that I could not see. It was an unforgettable moment, and I look forward to living another 20 or 30 years so I can see what he saw, because I know it will happen, and that is part of our mission.”

The five design elements are to:

  • Be spiritually based and mission-focused
  • Have a teaching and research emphasis
  • Offer an integrated bachelor's and medical degree to reduce time to complete medical training
  • Include international outreach, enrollment and alignment with church humanitarian efforts
  • Offer a reduced cost model
