Today, marks the anniversary of Guys Fawkes' Gunpowder Plot. About 400 years ago, a man named Guy Fawkes attempted to blow up the English House of Lords. According to the author, even though the act may have failed, it still serves to remind the people that their government exists to serve them and not to rule over them. Half a millennium later, here we are fighting the same kind of fight — to achieve freedom from the total control of central banks. This time is different though, as we have the ultimate weapon and ultimate symbol: Bitcoin. "Bitcoin does what no force or symbol has done before. It removes the ace that all governments throughout history have had up their sleeves, with which they’ve gained the upper hand over the citizenry." - Aleksandar Svetski Bitcoin is not only a financial tool, but a step in the right direction of allowing society to take back their freedom and sovereignty and a peaceful protest that makes obsolete the means of control governments and central banks have upon society. |

Miami Mayor To Take His Entire Salary In Bitcoin Miami Mayor Francis Suarez announced he will be taking his entire salary in bitcoin from now on. He explained that he wants to provide the option for city employees to receive their salaries in BTC, either partly or full, but it won't be imposed on anyone. At the beginning he had shared the decision of taking only his next months salary in bitcoin, but after Eric Adams, New York next city Mayor mentioned "going bigger" taking his first 3 salaries as Mayor of NYC fully in Bitcoin, Suarez might have reconsidered. With this move, Mayor Suarez enters the history books as the first U.S. politician to have their salary fully paid in Bitcoin. Soon enough, the next ones will join until it becomes an obvious and normal decision. "When governments are spending that kind of money that they are, when you have inflation at the point that it is, when you have rampant overspending in government and deficit spending, all of that pushes in favor of an increase in the price of Bitcoin.. So I feel very comfortable getting my entire salary in bitcoin." - Francis Suarez |
