I’ve been listening to a new podcast from Christianity Today on The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill.
It’s an illuminating listen. And it reveals much more than what caused the downfall of one Seattle mega church and its brash pastor; it also brings to light some uncomfortable truths about the broader evangelical movement. Time and again, we’ve shown that we’re more impressed by fame than faithfulness, by charisma than character. And this brilliantly done podcast illustrates that having the former never makes up for a lack of the latter. I highly recommend giving it a listen.
