M-Net (DStv channel 101) announced that actress, presenter, entrepreneur and motivational speaker Leandie du Randt would host Love Island South Africa.

Leandie will preside over the matchmaking when the South African version of the international reality sensation debuts with a special 90-minute premiere on Sunday 28 February at 20:00.

New one-hour episodes will air Monday to Friday at 21:30, and then on Sunday's viewers can watch unseen bits just after the 20:00 movie.

"Hosting Love Island South Africa is one of the biggest privileges in my life and career so far. It has always been on my vision board to host a big show in South Africa, and this is the perfect opportunity to see this come to fruition. I am also very excited to meet the beautiful contestants in the villa." said Leandie du Randt.
