Accenture: Current AI will affect 40% of hours worked

Accenture has tried to quantify how many jobs will be affected by artificial intelligence like ChatGPT and come up with a figure of about 40% of working hours across industries. "I don't wish to call it radical because it's maybe too much, but things are going to be changed," says Eyal Farkash, Accenture's technology lead, who isn't a fan of proposals to pause AI development for six months.

A tax-free bagel was stuffed with cream cheese

Believe it or not, New York City residents incur a tax each time they buy a bagel that's sliced and schmeared with cream cheese. Philadelphia has found a clever workaround with its new, limited-edition stuff bagel. As parent company Kraft Heinz explained, keeping the bagel whole instead of sliced for schmear essentially circumvents the tax.

Jill Blickstein, vice president of sustainability at American Airlines, outlines the latest advancements in SAF, fleet upgrades the airline has made to enhance its sustainability and an AI-enabled system called "Smart Gating" that conserves fuel and saves time for travelers. American Airlines is undertaking numerous initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint, and as Blickstein explains, many of those efforts come in places passengers might not notice but are contributing to more sustainable air travel.
