Thanks to recent changes made by the U.S. Census Bureau, researchers now have nationally-representative data on same-gender relationship households. Using this new data, Lauren Bauer, Veronica Clevenstine, and Moriah Macklin shed light on the family incomes and compositions of same-gender couples.
Last summer, President Biden announced the adoption of a counterterrorism strategy that would rely on drones to respond to terrorism threats around the world without deploying American troops on the ground. “Despite its initial rejection by the House GOP, new data on proxy voting indicates that roughly 80% of all House members used the option through mid-December 2021, suggesting that this rule is now welcomed by both parties as a reform of traditional voting procedures and raising questions about its potential in the future,” write Emily Larson, Naomi Maehr, and Molly Reynolds.
