Washington D.C.โs mayor Muriel Bowser took a bold move and decided to fly flags with 51 stars along Pennsylvania Ave. It was an act of protest designed to give a voice to the cityโs 700,000 residents that she feels are disenfranchised and demand recognition. Back in April, House Democrats passed the DC Admission Act, which would recognize Washington D.C. as the 51st state. However, GOP members argue that to make this a legitimate law, a Constitutional amendment would be required. (read more) |

Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre laughed off questions about Joe Biden's stamina and health yesterday while warning that those are questions we shouldn't be asking. She also explained that she "struggles" to keep up with him. "That is not a question that we should be even asking," she added. "Just look at the work he does. And look how he's delivering for the American public." Delivering what? Higher prices? A tanking economy? Supply chain shortages? (read more) |

The Committee on January 6 postponed their hearing for Wednesday, and no one seems to know why. One of the members said that it was due to technological difficulties, but did not elaborate. 17 months of preparing clearly wasn't enough to prepare for today. And what's even more hilarious is that the top two Democrats on the committee are apparently having an internal fight about what the committee is actually supposed to be doing. Few Americans actually care about this dog and pony show. But you can bet that Democrats will continue to beat this drum until the November elections (read more) |

A dog is being blamed for starting a large house fire in Missouri. In a crazy story that some people wouldnโt believe, the dog is accused of turning on a stove inside of a home. Approximately eight minutes later, the kitchen went up in flames. Investigators say the dog stood on its hind legs and was able to reach the stove controls. The dog then casually turned on the stove and walked away. Thanks to a pan left on the stove with food from a previous meal in it, the stove caught fire and flames quickly spread. While the dogs were not injured, the damage to the home was extensive. But how did firefighters and investigators come to the conclusion that the dog started the fire by turning on the stove? It was all caught on camera. (read more) |

Disney and Pixarโs new movie Lightyear wonโt be allowed in theaters in several Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates due to a same-sex kiss thatโs featured in the film. The movie, starring Chris Evans as Buzz Lightyear, shows another character during a montage who starts a family with and kisses her wife before she later becomes pregnant and welcomes a baby boy. This isnโt the first Disney film to be banned from Saudi Arabia either. The most recent Marvel film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, was also not allowed to play after the country had asked for the โLGBTQ referencesโ to be taken out of the movie. As for Evans' thoughts on the scene, he stated, โIt's great that it's back in the film. I think it's a shame that it's such a story. It should be more normalized, but I'm glad we are making those steps." (read more) |
