The Johnston Street road diet idea: Many Power Poll voters are on board

On to today's headlines....

So the idea of putting the stretch Johnston Street near downtown on a road diet — from four lanes to three with a section dedicated to pedestrians and bicyclists — was the topic for this month’s Lafayette Power Poll topic.

About 2 out of every 3 voters were at least open to the idea. Voters brought up some good topics. But still a significant amount of voters said heck no to the idea.
