EVERYONE'S TALKING

• The Kelly file. According to the latest scoop from New York's Gabriel Sherman, Megyn Kelly told the law firm of Fox News' parent company 21st Century Fox that she was sexually harassed about 10 years ago by the network's CEO Roger Ailes. Moreover, she reportedly has encouraged another former Fox anchor to come forward with her own allegations against Ailes.

This news goes a long way to explain why Rupert Murdoch and his sons—who together lead 21st Century Fox—have decided to remove Ailes from his longtime post. The ougoing chief, who started Fox News from scratch 20 years ago and built it into a top-rated cable news network, may be getting a golden parachute of as much as $40 million.

The developments are the latest installment in a chain of events set into motion by a sexual harassment suit against Ailes filed earlier this month by former Fox anchor Gretchen Carlson. In the suit, Carlson claimed that she was let go from her job because she rebuffed the CEO's sexual advances.

• Melania's mess. Melania Trump's plagiarism controversy dominated yesterday's news cycle. Some observers commented on the irony that the Michelle Obama speech Trump cribbed from was written by Sarah Hurwitz—who once was Hillary Clinton's speechwriter. The Trump campaign has repeatedly denied that Melania plagiarized the First Lady, blaming Clinton for the scandal and saying that her speech also bore similarities to the cartoon My Little Pony—a "Twilight Sparkle" quote, to be exact.

• Tiffany takes the stage. Day two of the RNC passed without nearly as much controversy as the previous night, but one person's speech stood out as being surprisingly eloquent and heartfelt: that of Donald Trump's 22-year-old daughter, Tiffany Trump. Unlike her half siblings Ivanka, Eric, Donald Jr. (Tiffany's mom is Marla Maples), she has shied away from the spotlight, rarely appearing on behalf of her dad's campaign. • Nardini takes a stool. Fortune's Dan Primack has the scoop on Erika Nardini, the new CEO of sports and comedy website Barstool Sports. The simple fact that Nardini is a woman might be surprising to those who know Barstool, which is notorious for misogyny among some of its users, a.k.a. "Stoolies." But it seems that the new chief, who was formerly the CMO of AOL, knows how to handle the trolls: She's a longtime Stoolie herself. Fortune

• Danger ahead? The Clinton campaign has been doing its best to maintain visibility during the oxygen-hogging Republican convention. The presumptive Democratic nominee gave an hour-long interview to Charlie Rose on Monday, in which she said Trump is the most dangerous man ever to run for president. "What he has laid out is the most dangerous, reckless approach to being president than I think we've ever seen," said Clinton. Fortune

• The skinny on May? Buzzfeed spoke with a number of sources to try to get a sense of what the new British Prime Minister Theresa May will be like in office. The site reports that these people "respected the home secretary, even if they never grew to like her—but fear the aggressive culture of her closest advisers, several of whom have followed her to Number 10."
