With hairstyles getting out of control, many Scots are wondering when their local barber or salon could re-open, as the First Minister gets set to announce Scotland's road map out of lockdown.

Most businesses closed throughout 2021, as Scotland's battle against the Covid-19 pandemic seeing them head into an eighth week with doors closed.

Parents anger over Nicola Sturgeon's patronising claims over school return

Groups of parents have hit out over at the First Minister, citing her comments that she could not allow all children to go back to school because their parents could spread the virus through increased socialising to be 'patronising'.

The First Minister told Holyrood on Tuesday that while youngsters mixing in school was not regarded as a major way of spreading the virus, her fear was that, without their children at home, parents would mix during the school day, potentially fuelling infection.

However, many parents are not happy with the comments and have hit out.
