When our oldest was two years old, we booked a 10+ hour international flight.
In preparation for a very, very long day, I overloaded a carry-on with creative projects to entertain our enthusiastic, high energy child.
I had recently landed on an incredible playdough recipe, and was in the habit of making it weekly.
This playdough was inexpensive, easy to make, pliable, stored well, and my daughter couldn't get enough of it.
So, in addition to tucking a big bag of art supplies in my carry-on, I packed an even bigger bag of playdough to help us through that super long day of travel.
What I didn't realize is that TSA did NOT allow playdough on planes! 😭
When we got to the front of the security line, that big, beautiful bag of homemade entertainment was respectfully removed from our possession.
In case you're thinking of packing your own playdough to go, current wisdom is that this rule has thankfully changed!
