Here’s a simple tool anyone can use to radically improve results and finish each work
day with a sense of fulfillment.
How?
By helping you work more on what matters…
And freeing up your time from doing the things you can’t stand. It's called the "Love & Loathe" exercise and it goes like this:
Take a piece of paper...
On the left side, write "Love" at the top. On the right, write "Loathe"
As you go through your work days this week…
Identify what work you Love that brings big results and energy to you.
Put those on the paper under Love.
Likewise, identify the specific activities that drain you, waste your time, etc.
And put those under Loathe.
NOTE: Like every hinge in life…
It only works if you use it.
There’s no value in just making the list if you don’t do something about it.
So you MUST complete this next action… even if it “scares” you.
Next, take your list to your next Executive or Team Meeting.
Share your list and ask for volunteers to help take the items off your Loathe list.
You might think this sounds egotistical or selfish…
It’s NOT.
Holding on to your loathing is selfish!
Remember…
Some of the things you hate to do are tasks that others LOVE to do.
Not everyone hates spreadsheets, editing videos, or writing copy…
Some folks actually geek out on it.
Don’t deny them their joy!
Let them love what you loathe!
This exercise and team discussion will help make a HUGE shift in your time efficiency.
Even if you only get a single task off your plate…
You’re already achieving more freedom to work on bigger, more rewarding projects…
And enjoy more precious time with your family.
