July 28, 2017 - We've got the post-Comic-Con news you need.

This week was quite a week in both the news and on The Mary Sue! We were still dealing with the aftermath of San Diego Comic-Con 2017, and we had some things to talk about on that front, especially in regards to the Supergirl panel blowing off some of the show's most ardent fans. On his way out of the Tardis door, Steven Moffat took one last opportunity to gaslight Doctor Who fans by insisting that the misogyny-laden response to the 13th Doctor was greatly exaggerated.

To cleanse your pallet (really whenever you need it), this video of Gal Gadot having a chat with a tearful Wonder Woman cosplayer is all you need. If you want to know what Ron Howard's take on Han Solo will look like, it's ... probably not this, but it's funny anyway. Some unexpected events ensued in the aftermath of British tabloids publishing nude photos of 13th Doctor Jodie Whittaker. J.K. Rowling came through in a big way, as usual, by shutting Tomi Lahren down on Twitter.

Baby Driver is getting a lot of praise, but we really need to talk about the treatment of women in Director Edgar Wright's movies. (Read more ...)
