| Today's Top 10 Stories | | #1 | | The NBA To Develop Two New Shows for Twitter | | | | The NBA announced that it has signed a deal with Twitter to develop two live original programs that will stream exclusively on Twitter, including an NBA pre-game show that will be streamed free to users. The show will feature elements designed to have Twitter conversations integrated into the content. The other live show will be announced at a later date.
Why This Matters: The expanded deal will not include any actual game broadcasts, however, the NBA will double the number of game highlights it posts to Twitter, Vine and Periscope.

| | #2 | | Evolution Digital Notches Another NCTC Deal | | | | Evolution Digital announced that it has reached a deal with the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) to distribute its eVUE-TV IP video-on-demand service to the NCTCs membership of independent operators.
Why This Matters: Introduced in February, the platform supplies thousands of hours of movies and TV shows on demand while also integrating IP linear and VOD across a unified interface. Evolutions future plans for the platform include cloud-based services, including a cloud DVR.

| | #3 | | Internet-Connected TV Boosts Viewing | | | | According to a new report from Brian Wieser of Pivotal Research, based on an analysis of Nielsen figures, viewing of TV programming on internet-connected devices in June rose 62% from a year ago.
Why This Matters: That boost in viewing helped push total use of TV up by 2.4% among adults 18 to 49. Viewing on internet-connected devices accounted for 7.7% of all viewing.
