Good morning, Marketer, what’s the connection between a hybrid event experience and augmented reality?

They both can mean a lot of things, with almost limitless marketing applications. But think of it this way – hybrid plugs a remote attendee into an in-person event, while augmented reality adds a digital layer on top of a real-world experience.

They are both engaging in a multipronged reality. It’s just that for a hybrid event, the digital user is remote. For augmented reality, the user is on-site.

Moving forward, experiences should optimize for both users.

They are giving comprehensive and accurate data about their consumer’s interests and behaviors while not revealing personally identifiable information from tapping into publisher data to deliver better experiences for consumers and more effective campaign performance.” Ken Zachmann, US and EU adtech specialist
