NATIONAL: Dick Clark Productions has announced two new executive appointments. Chris Czarkowski, formerly of NBCUniversal, has been named chief revenue officer, while Robert Foothorop, formerly of BET Networks/ViacomCBS, has been named SVP of sponsorship.

LOS ANGELES: Nonprofit Outfest has announced the lineup for the 2021 Outfest Fusion QTBIPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous and People of Color) Film Festival, presented by Comcast NBCUniversal. This year’s festival, taking place April 16-20, will include 10 feature films, 41 short films, a One-Minute Movie Contest sponsored by Hyundai, two drive-in experiences at Exposition Park and a dozen workshops and panels.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach has debuted a new hybrid event solution with Encore (formerly PSAV) called Presentation Stages. The offering features broadcast technology, staging equipment, green screens, prompters and more. The resort can accommodate between two to six on-site presenters and up to 50 in-person attendees.

NEW YORK: This year’s New York Comic Con will reportedly take place as a hybrid event from Oct. 7-10. While producers ReedPop have not yet released full details, the show is expected to take place in person at the Javits Center, with a virtual element planned for the same dates.

PHOENIX: The Arizona Balloon Classic by Arizona Events Group will host its 10th annual festival from April 30 to May 2 at the Goodyear Ballpark. The socially distanced and outdoor event will feature family-friendly shows and activities throughout the day, including a kite festival, food fest, hot air balloon rides and more. A portion of sales will benefit Valley of the Sun United Way.
