NOPD on trial: The New Orleans Police Department is at the center of a civil rights trial over an officer accused of sexually assaulting a teen rape victim several times after she came to police. The victim, who testified Tuesday, says the department should have known never to hire officer Rodney Vicknair in the first place. John Simerman has the story.
Archdiocese bankruptcy case: The judge overseeing the Archdiocese of New Orleans' bankruptcy proceedings will appoint an independent expert to help figure out whether the case can be settled. In doing so, the judge raised the possibility for the first time that an agreement acceptable to abuse survivors and the church may not actually be possible. Stephanie Riegel has the details.
Grow Dat stays put: For a while there, it looked as though a proposed promenade could force the Grow Dat Youth Farm to relocate from its home at City Park. On Tuesday, the two sides struck an agreement that will keep the farm where it is. Joni Hess has this report.
