BY ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana Business Editor When I visited the Northgate Mall last week, I immediately noticed it was a bit warm. That's one of the issues new owner Jacoby Landry is working on. He admitted he'd worked on five A/C units on the building in five days. There are also leaky spots on the roof. And the bathrooms needed work. Landry says he's up for the challenge of renovating what I referred to in my Sunday story as the most challenging commercial property in Lafayette. Lots of people had lots to say about the building. This one keeps popping in my head, courtesy of developer Monte Anderson, who is mentoring Landry through the process: "It’s a little crazy, right? I get accused of being crazy all time. I feel lucky to be involved with him because I think he’s going to do something great there.” You can read the full story here. |
