Zoom's CMO Discusses What the Future of the Workplace Might Look Like

Workplace tech has been one of the winners of pandemic-induced behavior change. For Zoom’s CMO Janine Pelosi, the challenge now is staying two steps ahead of changing trends in unpredictable times.

Pelosi joined our Outlook 2021 event last week to discuss the future of the workplace. In the session, she talks about the need for companies to be intentional about when and why they go into the office. Check out Patrick Kulp’s piece for the full talk.

For the media and marketing industries, artificially building those moments to be creative will take some thought. Given the year of homeschooling and remote working in suboptimal conditions, I expect any change of pace will be a welcome improvement.

“We’ve taken probably 10 years and condensed it into such a short period of time and innovation,” Pelosi said. “I’ve been trying to just like everyone else, think about the silver lining from these very difficult times, and the innovation that I’m seeing is just amazing.”

Make sure you check out the rest of our Outlook 2021 coverage to get the inside on how professionals are viewing the year ahead.
