There’s this weird idea in the coaching industry that you can only coach someone if you’re “better” or “more successful” than they are.

Some people will even claim that it’s a “scam” if you hire a coach who isn’t a jet-setting billionaire with their own private island.

But when you really think about it…

This idea is complete nonsense.

For example…

My friend Tim Grover wasn't a better basketball player or athlete than Michael Jordan…

...But he understood the mechanics of peak performance, diet, and personal training and knew how to help Jordan get to the top.

Tony Robbins isn’t a better fighter (or trash talker) than UFC champion Connor McGregor...

...But he understands the psychology of success in a way that few people can match and knows how to help him navigate the “inner game” of success.

Bill Campbell “The Trillion Dollar Coach” (who worked with Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs, Larry Page, and Eric Schmidt) wasn’t a billion dollar tech CEO…

...But he played an instrumental role in helping some of the biggest tech companies in the world become the household names they are today.

And NFL Hall-of-Fame Kicking Coach Doug Blevins… coached his all-star kickers from his motorized wheelchair...

Listen, the purpose of coaching is not to find someone who is better than you at what you do…

...But to find someone who can identify your blind spots, recognize patterns, and provide objective outside eyes and feedback.

Which is exactly what I did for my good friend and client Sharran Srivatsaa…

The “$3.4 Billion Dollar Man” who 10X’d the revenue of Teles Properties in only 5 years.

Thing is…

I am not a better or richer or smarter entrepreneur than Sharran.

Objectively speaking, he’s playing the game of business about 100X bigger than me.

And yet…

A few years ago, he paid me $25,000 to do a full day of 1-on-1 coaching.

He didn’t need help with his marketing or systems or leadership.

If anything, he’s helped me with all of these things.

Instead… he wanted help transitioning out of his role as the CEO of Teles and into his next venture.

He needed objective outside eyes to help him craft his vision, build the right habits, and make big decisions.

And that’s exactly what I offered him.

Now…

Unlike with some of my clients… I can’t take any credit for Sharran’s successes.

If we’d never met, he’d still be a rockstar entrepreneur scaling businesses to 10-figures and putting the rest of us to shame.

But…

…That doesn’t mean that what I offered him wasn’t insanely valuable.

Or that he wasn’t able to learn something new and level up as a father, husband, entrepreneur, and man because of the day that we spent together.

In fact, since then...

Sharran has recommended me to over 150,000 people through his social media outlets, industry connections, and podcast …

All because of what we accomplished in that one day at the Montage Hotel in Laguna Beach, California.

The lessons here are simple…

If you’re a coach, consultant, or expert…

STOP disqualifying yourself because a potential client is richer, more successful, or further ahead than you are.

You still have unique value and insights to offer no matter what level of the game you’re playing at.

And no matter how successful a prospect might be, I can guarantee you that you know something they don't.

Something they will happily pay you for.

If you’re an entrepreneur or high-performer looking for a coach or mentor…

Don’t believe the hype that your coach needs to be 50 levels ahead of you.

Some of the biggest lessons and breakthroughs I’ve had have come from friends and mentors that other people would consider “beneath” me.

And the truth is…

Everyone has unique value to bring to the table no matter where they are or what they’ve accomplished.

Never forget that.

To Your Success,
Craig

P.S. If you want help crafting your perfect life vision… building unstoppable discipline… getting clarity… or scaling your business.

I’ve still got a few spots left in my 1-on-1 coaching program.

I’m only working with a handful of clients for the rest of the year and you MUST be an entrepreneur already making 6-figures or more to quality.

But if you fit the bill and you want my help… Just hit “reply”, tell me a little bit more about yourself and your business…

I look forward to hearing from you.
