In this free webinar, Dr. Reb Close, MD and Susan Burnell, MSN RN, CEN, will share proven, actionable strategies for tracking and addressing prescription opioid abuse both individually and collectively with other providers.

Reb Close, MD, is an Attending Emergency Physician at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, and the lead clinical physician for the Monterey County Prescribe Safe Initiative. The Monterey Prescribe Safe Initiative is a collaborative effort in Monterey County to promote the safe use of prescription drugs, promote safe pain management, reduce overdoses, and address substance use through preventative efforts and treatment.

Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula

Susan Burnell is currently director of emergency services for Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP) where she is responsible for oversight of all emergency services, including crisis intervention, observation unit, mobile health clinic and 36-bed emergency department.
