Sam Altman’s eye-scanning project lands in the U.S.

 

World, a company founded in 2019 by OpenAI chief Sam Altman, has announced its U.S. launch, with plans to deploy 7,500 iris-scanning “orbs” by year-end in six cities: Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, and San Francisco.
