Our first live sale to kick off the Autumn season was the Pictures, Ceramics, Collectables and Modern Design Auction on 4th October and it saw some strong results for the ceramics department. The sale included some fantastic examples of Coalport, Royal Crown Derby, Royal Worcester, William Moorcroft and Spode along with The Ivor Southorn Collection; a lifelong Coalport collection from a Broseley native. It was lovely to see a busy saleroom with many bidders choosing to bid in person. The highlight from this section was an early 20th century Coalport blue batwing dinner service, including 112 pieces, which sold for £1,800! The top lot of the sale overall was an early 20th century Mittenwald violincello which played out a strong battle between two online bidders, starting at £460 and eventually selling for £3,600. The vendor was delighted! Take a peak at our full results below... |
