The gulf between associate and equity partner is widening as competition for clients and talent ever increases. A recent lawsuit against Duane Morris takes a very cynical view of this dynamic as a way to boost profits, but other industry observers say the reality has more to do with the changing business and development needs of today's legal landscape. Our first story today from Amanda O'Brien explores what's happening. Also, we have an interview with the new civil division leader of the Fifth Judicial District.
