Farewell, Chris Owens: Fans and friends gathered Sunday to say they farewells to Chris Owens, who for decades has regaled tourist and local alike with her popular Bourbon Street show. Her funeral, like her shows, drew an appreciative audience.
Raging Debate: Have you been keeping up with the homebuilding debate roiling St. Tammany? The parish president, no doubt hearing the many complaints about growing traffic snarls and the like, has asked the Parish Council to impose some tighter restrictions on homebuilding - at least temporarily. Homebuilders, meanwhile, warn that the restrictions will put the chill on a big sector of St. Tammany's economy.
