If there are two ingredients that embody the spirit of spring, those are lamb and peas. This week, our contributing cook Elizabeth Hewson brings together both in one simple, fresh, easy-to-achieve dish that is a real spring treat. Her lamb and spring pea salad is enhanced by a delicious yoghurt and garlic sauce that can be employed not just in bringing to life this salad but a range of other dishes. In her second recipe, she gives a great tip on how to bring boring veg to life.

Mediterranean cuisine is a phenomenon. Healthy and delicious, it never goes out of fashion, for good reason. This week Sarah Di Lorenzo, through her new book, My Mediterranean Life, offers a selection of Greek dishes that hit the spot in terms of flavour, health factor and ease. A brilliant combination!

Happy cooking.

P.S

The writing is on the wall for many Australian hospitality businesses in this era of continued high inflation and cost of living pressure. According to this report, one in six Australian hospitality businesses is at risk of closing in the next 12 months. “These industries that are heavily reliant on discretionary spending will, unfortunately, continue to find it tough until consumers feel a reduction in cost-of-living pressures, which won’t happen until we see a couple of rate cuts,” said CreditorWatch's Patrick Coghlan. It's a sobering statistic. Read more about it here.
