Important updates

Dear Reader,

SIC 2023 is now less than two weeks away, and I’m proud to say it’s all coming together.

We’ve officially confirmed over 50 speakers for our faculty lineup, made up of the best and brightest names in economics, geopolitics, technology, energy, and policy. (To view the full list and secure your virtual pass, click here now.)

As we’ve seen in recent years, the impact on markets comes from all these angles and more. To be prepared for the unthinkable, we need to be diligent in understanding the biggest risks and opportunities within each area.

We’ve been pulling out all the stops to bring in the true experts in all the relevant fields. This year, things are taking shape better than I could’ve dreamed.

Here’s a small sampling to give you an idea:

  • We’ve got Dr. Frank Luntz returning to the SIC, engaging in a moderated discussion with former presidential candidate, Andrew Yang. Together, they’ll cover the most important themes in Washington and identify the major problems that will affect the macro environment over the next year. No matter your political leanings, I’m sure you’ll want to see this.
  • On the topic of AI, we’re proud to welcome Dr. Stephen Wolfram this year. Dr. Wolfram has been one of the most influential figures in technology, dating back to the 1980s. Nobody I know has a better finger on the pulse of AI and how it will reshape industries far and wide.
  • Staying on the theme of tech, Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale will also be interviewing two other impressive tech CEOs, Gene Berdichevsky and Nathan Mintz. Berdichevsky was employee number 7 at Tesla, developing the battery pack for the Tesla Roadster. Together, they’ll share their views on what we can expect in the future of transportation, energy storage, and other major tech innovations.
  • While we have short-term risks that weigh heavy, there’s no denying there are longer-term cycles at play in today’s upheaval as well. Neil Howe has illuminated how these cycles have played out over hundreds of years in his book, The Fourth Turning. Neil will join us at the SIC to spell out where we stand and where we go from here.

There are several other prominent names you may recognize now added to the faculty. Others are major players behind the scenes, advising names you’re no doubt familiar with.

All in all, I couldn’t ask for a better showing this year.

With that said, time is short. We’ll be kicking off the SIC before we know it, and you’ll want to be there to soak in every bit of wisdom our experts share starting on day 1 (May 1st).

The stakes are higher than ever this year, and we could all use the kind of expert guidance and insights you’ll receive at the conference.

If you haven’t already, click here now to get your virtual pass to SIC 2023. You can also review the full lineup of speakers and get all the details there.

I look forward to seeing you there as our faculty of esteemed experts help us “think the unthinkable.”
