Prophecy Thread of Week 48

Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary Definition of Truth:
Conformity to fact or reality; exact accordance with that which is, or has been, or shall be. The truth of history constitutes its whole value. We rely on the truth of the scriptural prophecies.

483 YEARS FROM THE REBUILD OF JERUSALEM TO MESSIAH CRUCIFIED

This is the one prophecy that should have been clear to anyone reading the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Though some historians can argue exact dates, the clarity of the time frame of the first advent of Jesus Christ the Messiah is clear. I believe this is why Andrew was prepared and looking for the Messiah (Jhn 1:41). The last of the seventy weeks is still yet to be fulfilled (Dan 9:27). According to Daniel 7:25, 11:35 the times are set, but only God the Father knows when (Mat 24:36).

PROMISED

MESSIAH 483 YEARS AFTER DECLARATION TO REBUILD JERUSALEM

538 BC (U)

Dan 9:25a “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’

FULFILLED

BUILDING OF THE WALL

452 BC, 454 BC (U)

Neh 2:17b Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace.”

JERUSALEM FINISHED BEING REBUILT

403 BC

Dan 9:25b It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.

THE PASSION WEEK

33 AD, 33 AD (U)

Mat 21:9 The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest heaven!”

Mat 21:10 When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”

Mat 21:11 The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Prophecies declared are in blue, prophecies fulfilled are in red, prophecies currently being fulfilled are in green, and prophecies to be fulfilled are in orange. Bold historical context dates are from Jeff Swanson's The Plan dating system, and dates marked (U) are Archbishop Ussher's 1658 dating system.
** The date of this prophecy is in its referential context: the verse has been moved to the time frame of its contextual orientation.
