Prophecy Thread of Week 9Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary Definition of Truth: Conformity to fact or reality; exact accordance with that which is, or has been, or shall be. The truth of history constitutes its whole value. We rely on the truth of the scriptural prophecies. GOD WILL SHOW ABRAM THE PROMISE LANDGod lead Abram away from his country, his family, and everything familiar to him. God did not just lead Abram away from a place, he lead him to the promise land. The land God chose for His people. This is also a picture of the journey of Christianity. We are strangers in a foreign land. Our home is in heaven, the dwelling place of the almighty God (Php 3:20). PROMISED THE PROMISE TO ABRAM 1957 BC, 1922 BC (U) Gen 12:1 The LORD had said to Abram, âGo from your country, your people and your fatherâs household to the land I will show you. FULFILLED THE PROMISE REMEMBERED, ABRAM WALKS THE WHOLE PROMISE LAND 1935 BC, 1913 BC (U) Gen 13:14 The LORD said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, âLook around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. Gen 13:15 All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever.
