As investment options, services and technology expand, so does the demand to offer personalization for investors.

Just this week, wealthtech platform provider Envestnet struck an exclusive deal with mega  asset managers BlackRock, Fidelity, Franklin Templeton and State Street to access its personalized direct indexing within its unified managed account (UMA) platform.

This was barely a month after Envestnet and Salesforce announced a partnership to offer advisors a broader, more streamlined portfolio management platform in the cloud.

New technology, including AI, is also being used to empower advisors with more personalized services in what David Chubak, head of branch development and the U.S. business unit at Edward Jones, called "advisor intelligence" in using AI to better understand clients and predict their financial behaviors.
