Church and state: David Barton is a Christian activist pushing the idea that America was founded as a Christian nation and the separation of church and state is a fallacy. The author of Louisiana's law forcing public schools to display the Ten Commandments in the classroom, which was recently found to be unconstitutional, has credited him with inspiring her bill. Patrick Wall has a look at the man and his work.
Eyes on the Senate: Now that the Louisiana House has refused to approve Gov. Jeff Landry proposed sales tax increase, the governor and his allies are scrambling to save his complicated tax plan. As Tyler Bridges explains, it now falls on the Senate and its president, Metairie Republican Cameron Henry, to figure out how to offset the income tax cuts already approved.
