Coming up this weekend
Saturday’s live action begins with our county cricket liveblog, under way at 11am (all times BST). Join us afterwards for the crucial Old Firm derby at 12.30pm, with title-chasers Manchester City visiting Fulham at the same time. The international cricketing summer begins as England begin their Women's T20 series against Pakistan at 2.30pm. With the Premier League season entering its final days, our clockwatch will keep track of all the 3pm kick-offs. Nottingham Forest, still chasing safety, meet Chelsea at 5.30pm to round off the day.

The County Championship action resumes at 11am on Sunday before Norwich host Leeds at 12pm in the first leg of their Championship playoff semi-final. The other contest, between West Brom and Southampton, begins at 2.15pm. History beckons at Wembley as Manchester United meet Tottenham in the Women’s FA Cup final at 2.30pm, with neither side having won the trophy before. And then, back in the Premier League, Arsenal’s quest for a first league title in 20 years continues as they meet Manchester United, with kick-off at 4.30pm.

… there is a good reason why not to support the Guardian

Not everyone can afford to pay for news right now. That is why we keep our journalism open for everyone to read. If this is you, please continue to read for free.

But if you are able to, then there are three good reasons to support us today.

1

Our quality, investigative journalism is a powerful force for scrutiny at a time when the rich and powerful are getting away with more and more

2

We are independent and have no billionaire owner telling us what to report, so your money directly powers our reporting

3

It doesn’t cost much, and takes less time than it took to read this message

Help power the Guardian’s journalism in this crucial year of news, whether with a small sum or a larger one. If you can, please support us on a monthly basis . It takes less than a minute to set up, and you can rest assured that you're making a big impact every single month in support of open, independent journalism. Thank you.
