Coming up this weekend
We open on Friday evening with live coverage of England's Euro 2025 football qualifier at home to France (8pm, all times BST). Then it's in to Saturday, opening with day seven of the French Open tennis from around 10am. It's also Derby day at Epsom and our racing team will have updates through the afternoon, building up to and including the big race at 4.30pm. We move from south-west to north-west London in the evening and this year's men's Champions League final, as Borussia Dortmund take on Real Madrid from 8pm. And we round off with coverage of the night's heavyweight boxing at around 10pm: Daniel Dubois v Filip Hrgovic, followed by Deontay Wilder v Zhilei Zhang.

Sunday starts bright and early with the T20 Cricket World Cup opener between USA and Canada: we'll have updates from 1.30am. Then it's back to Paris for rolling coverage of day eight from the French Open at 10am, before wrapping up with news from the final round of the US Women's Open golf at 7pm.

… there is a good reason why not to support the Guardian

Not everyone can afford to pay for news right now. That is why we keep our journalism open for everyone to read. If this is you, please continue to read for free.

But if you are able to, then there are three good reasons to support us today.

1

Our quality, investigative journalism is a powerful force for scrutiny at a time when the rich and powerful are getting away with more and more

2

We are independent and have no billionaire owner telling us what to report, so your money directly powers our reporting

3

It doesn’t cost much, and takes less time than it took to read this message

Help power the Guardian’s journalism in this crucial year of news, whether with a small sum or a larger one. If you can, please support us on a monthly basis . It takes less than a minute to set up, and you can rest assured that you're making a big impact every single month in support of open, independent journalism. Thank you.
