Hello all–

I’m sure many of you, like me, eat meat and love a good burger. But my current mindset is that a few decades from now, our descendants will look back in shock that we not only ate meat, but ate so much of it—and largely from cruel industrial factories. That being said, if there’s still beauty to be found in the love of meat, Paul Richardson has found it. Paul takes us to a small Spanish town in the middle of nowhere, to feast at the restaurant that has become a temple of sorts for meat lovers all over the world.

We also have a lovely write-up from my colleague Elizabeth Brockway’s recent trip to Quebec. By day, Elizabeth is one of the most talented photo editors in the business, but here, she moonlighted as a circus performer at one of Montreal’s newest attractions.

You’ve (Probably) Never Seen Paris Like This

To say we’re nostalgic for Paris at this point would be a gross understatement—we’re positively aching for it! Luckily, our latest selection for Just Booked (our series on gorgeous new travel coffee table books) is the fascinating Paris: From the Air by photographer Jeffrey Milstein and published by Rizzoli.

There is something utterly captivating about seeing central Paris’ geometric grid from above—the triangles, trapezoids, and parallelograms of city blocks. But the book also takes us from the ornate dome of Invalides (which we’d never seen up close) to the public parks and gardens that even though they were laid out centuries ago seem as if they were designed for viewers in the sky.
