The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies have shown their prowess at GIO Stadium on Saturday evening to claim a hard-fought 28-20 victory over the Fijian Drua.
It was another start with the Brumbies flying out of the blocks, scoring the opening two tries within the first 10 minutes of play. The lead was extended out to 18 points late in the first half, off the back of a Len Ikitau double, before the Drua stormed back into the game just before half-time.
The win sees the Brumbies sit in third on the Super Rugby Pacific ladder, within touching distance of the Blues and Hurricanes. Their next assignment, a date with the Old Enemy, the Waratahs at Allianz Stadium next Saturday night. |
