In what was an unhappy weekend for the ACT Brumbies, both the Men's & Women's sides have gone down in their matches away from home against the Blues (M) and Waratahs (W).
Up against a fellow top 4 contender in the Blues, the Brumbies men were outclassed in a near-perfect first half from the Blues, with the home side coming away with a comprehensive 46-7 victory. The loss was just the second in the Brumbies season to date, with the team now looking to rebound next week against the league-leading Hurricanes at GIO Stadium.
For the Brumbies Women, their season came to a spirited end, falling at the hands of the Waratahs in their semi final. Despite going behind early, the Brumbies worked their way back into the game before falling away in the second half, with the Waratahs running out 47-27.
