One week away . . .
We're headed to Seattle next week, and there's just too much news to fit into our regular weekly e-newsletter. Today, we're sharing our AWP 2023 specific round-up with events we're hosting, where to find us at the conference, editorial office hours, recommended events, editor panels, and more!

It's been almost a year since we soft launched our Membership program at last year's conference in Philly, and we'll once again offer a special bonus gift to people who sign up as new RUMPUS MEMBERS, renew their Membership, gift a Membership, or subscribe to one of our Book Clubs during AWP. AND we're going to save y'all a lot of packing and shipping headaches by offering a MAJOR 40% discount on all store merch orders (mugs, stickers, & posters) while supplies last next Thursday, March 9 to Saturday, March 11 ONLY. We'll share the code at the table, our 2 official offsite events, AND email it to ALL of our active Members next Friday. SWING BY or check your inbox!
And if you're someone who hasn't heard of AWP and won't be in Seattle next week, you have been blessed! It's the largest literary writing and (mostly) indie book publishers & magazine conference in the US. We'll only send these one-offs once a year, so don't worry we won't inundate you with event emails.

We look forward to seeing many of our contributors, team members, and supporters next week. As much as most of us complain about these overwhelming events, the opportunity to see so many great writers and literary workers come together in person is truly energizing.

See you on and offline soon!

Reader Support Keeps The Rumpus Going!

Founded in 2009 in San Francisco, CA and now based in Asheville, NC with readers and editors all over the US and abroad, The Rumpusis one of the longest-running independent online literary and culture magazines. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers readers already know and love. Often, we are an emerging writer's first notable publication, which is something we’re really proud of. We believe that literature builds community—and if reading The Rumpus makes you feel more connected, please show your support! Our Membership and subscription programs along with tax-deductible donations made to The Rumpus through our fiscal sponsor, Fractured Atlas, help keep us going and brings us closer to sustainability.
