A Message From the Editor

Good Morning. Three years ago this month, Russia invaded Ukraine. The unprecedented move resulted in Western law firms exiting en masse from Russia and a slew of sanctions imposed on Russian individuals and entities. Today we have a story that looks at how Russian law firms have fared during this time. Also, we're examining the finances of Herbert Smith Freehills, which, along with New York-based Kramer Levin, hopes to get a thumbs up from its partnership to go ahead with its planned transatlantic merger. In Brussels, meanwhile, there have been lots of changes in law firms' top management, the most recent taking place at MoFo. Read these stories and more below.
