The sea — and the problems it means for our state — is rising

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise returned to his office at the U.S. Capitol on Thursday for the first time since he began treatment for a relatively rare form of blood cancer.

“It feels good to get here to the Capitol, in person, and get to the meetings,” Scalise told The Advocate | The Times-Picayune.

The Jefferson Republican has to be careful about getting too close to others or being in a large crowd — no LSU football games for him this season.
