THE LEDE Mike Bloomberg continues to spend ungodly amounts of money in his bid for the presidency, and in the meantime is sucking up a whole lot of oxygen around him. He is running, as Rosie Gray put it, “the Death Star of presidential campaigns.” Even if you wanted to stop talking about Mike Bloomberg, you can’t, because Mike Bloomberg is everywhere. His ads are always on, he’s hired everyone, and he will even be on the debate stage for the first time tonight. To quote Rosie again: “Welcome to the Bloomborg. Resistance is futile.”
Expect this to come up: Bloomberg referred to transgender people as “it” and “some guy wearing a dress” as recently as last year, Dominic Holden scooped yesterday.
